Jeffree Skewes - On Earth
rest at ease now
we're not whom we seem
not really sure what we're looking for
a distraction maybe some disconnections
there must be some way out of here
play it lowdown
on the street corner on the hustle
outside pushes to the ground
outside pushes to the ground
chanting another archaic dialect
bends a knee it's prayer alone
that holds from going under
do we ever learn
to live daily in harmony's way
or know what blessings really say
pull the plug on the secrete tide's secrete
the mystery emanating from her hand
raises everything left behind
walk again
on the same old road
as summer navigates bush fires
the flooding rain homeward bound again
lay down on the ground just in time
nothing more can be done
nothing more can be done
about this perfection
